Whether you prefer a rifle or a bow, your elk hunt with Tri-Spoke Outfitters will be one that dreams are made of.  Our area holds large herds of elk with plenty of big bulls. Our archery hunts are the second and third week of September, timed with the peak of the rut. Odds are, you’ll be in close range of a wild eyed, screaming bull trying to gather up another cow, or put a whippin’ on a smaller bull nearby. We have two different rifle elk openers in our areas. The September 26 opener offers the rare opportunity to hunt bugling bulls with a rifle, and the October 15 opener offers large groups of elk bunching up in preparation for their migration out of the high country. With a little snow on the ground, and crisp fall temperatures, it makes a picture perfect scenario for your chance at great bull elk.
